Favorite song in this album: I have to say that's track No 9 "Hey Little Kid". This song caught my attention the first time I heard it but boy, how I cried when I read the translation of the lyrics! I don't think DBSK members or anyone that age can fully understand the real meaning of those words but I'm older and felt these words described how I feel now so accurately... Although I'm sure there's still a lot to come from DBSK, at some point they will look back and see this ball of confusion they are in now with melancholic eyes, remembering both the sad and happy times they shared.
I liked Miduhyo even though I don't like the fact that Micky has to say words in english in some of their songs as a "special touch".
I totally adored the futuristic and dark concept of "Tri-angle". Hero and Changmin's hair was awesome and I totally loved Yunho's feather eyelashes in the MV.
About Hug, I guess I just got tired of listening to it over and over again. Whenever I listen to the song I remember them fooling around in that radio show! :-D
I thought "The way you are" MV was kind of sexy ;-)
I was kind of confused about track number 4. Will you be my girlfriend? I found it in some places as "A heartbeat away" maybe because the lyrics include those words... In any case, I really like that song, I think it's really sweet and it reminded me of my first love :-)

Profile - Hero JaeJoong

Stage Name: HERO Youngwoong Jaejoong (영웅재중 or 英雄在中)
Birth Name: Han Jaejoon (한재준, 韓在俊)
Adopted Name : Kim Jaejoong (김재중, 金在中)
Birthdate: January 26, 1986
Birthplace: Gongju
Height: 180 cm
Weight: 63 kg
Blood Type: O
Hobbies: Playing computer games, listening to music, playing the piano, composing, cooking
Specialty: Singing
Position: Main vocal

Kim Jaejoong left his hometown in Chungnam to audition for SM Entertainment. Having left the shelter of home, he experienced poverty and strife before becoming a celebrity. Kim debuted as YoungWoong Jaejoong. His manager picked the name Hero for him because he wanted him to be the hero of the music industry. Kim took first place in an audition of 5000 people, both in best looking and best vocals. He became the main vocalist of TVXQ.

Personal Comments: Aish, it was hard to choose a pic to add to this entry, there were so many pics of him on the web and so many fansites dedicated to him! I personally like JJ because of his willpower. He had to come a long way to achieve his goals and it took him a lot to be where he is now. Being an adopted child myself I know what he’s been through and I admire him because he had to face all that while being on the spotlight. I still don’t get how he pulled through, since all this blew onto his face while he was so young. Apparently he’s worried he doesn’t make good first impressions but boy, it’s your warm heart what matters and it’s evident that you have one. There’s another thing I like a lot about him: he makes me laugh so much! He’s super clumsy and funny even though he doesn’t intend to be. I’ve read he thinks he’ll get married to a fan. I’m not so sure about that, probably it will be someone from the entertainment business but I wish you may find what you are looking for.
Hero should always work in entertainment. His voice is out of this world but he's also a great comedian.

DBSK song that reminds me of Hero: Maze (awesome performance), Insa, Love in the ice, Lovin' you, Doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimattan darou?
DBSK song I would like to dedicate to him: Mariah Carey’s The Roof Top (sexy song for a sexy boy)

Profile - Xiah Junsu

Stage Name : XIAH Xiah Junsu (시아준수 or 細亞俊秀)
Real Name: Kim Junsu (김준수, 金俊秀)
Legal Birthdate: January 1, 1987
Real Birthday: December 15, 1986
Place of birth: Gyeonggi
Height: 178 cm
Weight: 63 kg
Blood Type: B
Hobbies: Piano, soccer
Specialty: Singing, dancing
Position: Middle high vocal
The first member to join TVXQ was Kim Junsu. At the age of 12 he was brought into SM Entertainment through a televised talent search with Moon Hee Jun and Kangta from H.O.T. as judges. His vocals won over the judges and procured him thorough training for the next six years. After three years of training, he was supposed to debut, but puberty caused his voice to change and he was unable to sing until it ended after another three years. After six years, he debuted as Xiah Junsu (Xiah is pronounced Shee-ah in Korean). Xiah is the stage name that Kim himself chose, explaining to his fans that the name was short for "Asia", as Asia is pronounced "ah-shee-ah" in Korean. "Xiah" would be an implication of his desire to become not only a star in Korea, but also a star recognized all throughout the continent.
Personal Comments: I just adore Xiah, he has such a infectious laughter! He's my favorite singer in DBSK, I simply do not get tired of listening to him. I would definitely buy his records if he decides to persue a solo career (though not likely at this time). I was so surprised to find out he's not only a good singer but also such a skillful dancer! He's as good as Yunho. Xiah's funny and cute even when he wakes up. Keep up the good work! ;-)
DBSK song that reminds me of Xiah: Holding back the tears, Love in the ice, Miduhyo, On and On, You're my melody.
Song I would like to dedicate to him: Men at work's Land down under (upbeat song for an upbeat boy ;-)

Profile - Micky YooChun

Stage Name : MICKY Micky Yoochun (믹키유천 or 秘奇有天)
Real Name: Park Yoochun (박유천, 朴有天)
Birthdate: June 4, 1986
Birthplace: Seoul
Height: 180 cm
Weight: 60 kg
Blood Type: O
Hobbies: Composing music/lyrics/rap, piano, Car driving, tuning
Specialty: Singing, composing
Position: Middle low vocal

One year before the group's debut, a final member was added. Park Yoochun lived in Fairfax, Virginia for roughly four years before he auditioned for Brothers Entertainment and was sent to Korea to SM Entertainment. Micky was Park's English nickname when he lived in Virginia. As the winner of a talent show, he was granted the opportunity to sign with SM Entertainment in Korea. He now performs under the stage name Micky Yoochun.

Personal Comments: I don't have any comments, Micky's a complete mystery to me (I will need to do some research) I know that he has plenty of fans who worship him and there's a lot of rumours about his girlfriends. If there's one thing that caught my attention is his sensibility. I remember watching a video of a show during which he talked about his childhood in the US and his parents' divorce and he couldn't help but cry. At that time I thought why none of the people there on the set approached him to hug him or comfort him, as he was having such a hard time telling the story but I guess the other members who were there were too young or too surprised to know how to react. I definitely like that side of him (although he may think it's a weakness); in this macho land I live in, you hardly see a guy showing his emotions like that.

DBSK song that reminds me of Micky: Holding back the tears, Love in the Ice, Mirotic.
Song I would like to dedicate to him: Danity Kane's Stay with me.

Profile - Max Changmin

Stage Name : MAX Choikang Changmin (최강창민 or 最强昌珉)
Real Name: Shim Changmin (심창민, 沈昌珉)
Birthdate: February 18, 1988
Birthplace: Seoul
Height: 186 cm
Weight: 61 kg
Blood Type: B
Hobbies: Music, singing, eating
Specialty: Singing, dancing
Position: High vocal

Shim Changmin was grouped with the youngest participants in the audition. Like Xiah Junsu, he impressed the judges with his powerful voice. He joined the group under the name Choikang Changmin. Choikang in Korean means "Most Powerful", or approximately, "the best"; "Max" became an international rendition of this name.

Personal comments: People!!! Could he be any cuter? Without doubt I think little Changmin is the sexiest of the 5. However, I don't think he has relized his own potential as a singer or his power of seduction. He's kind of harsh in his replies to the fans (Ouch!) but anyways, lucky the girl who can win his heart and take such a sexy hunk home! ;-)

DBSK Song that reminds me of Changmin: O, I love you, Always there, Choosey Lover, Dead End, Wild Soul (OMG, I want to go to a rock concert with Hero singing Maze and Changmin singing this song!) Mirotic.
Song I would like to dedicate to him: Justin Timberlake's What comes around

Profile - U-Know Yunho

U-Know Yunho
Stage Name : U-KNOW U-know Yunho (유노윤호 or 瑜鹵允浩)
Real Name: Jung Yunho (정윤호, 鄭允浩)
Birthdate: February 6, 1986
Birthplace: Gwangju
Height: 184 cm
Weight: 66 kg
Blood Type: A
Hobbies: Music, reading, playing sports, composing music
Specialty: Dancing
Position: Bass vocal
The group's second member, Jung Yunho, secured his spot in TVXQ through a dance competition in which he won first place. Prior to this, he accumulated some musical experience as a rapper and backup dancer for K-pop singer DANA. As a dancer, he accompanied many Korean singers, travelling to China as well. Jung debuted as U-know Yunho. He chose the stage name "U-know" given his Korean name "Yun Ho"; U-Know is pronounced "You know" in English. However, it is meant to mean "Yunho 'Knows You'" in regard to his understanding of the other members as their leader. He is the second oldest member and the "leader" in TVXQ.
Personal Comments: I really like U-know, he certainly is a leader, it shows when all the boys are spending time together. He looks serious but I adore his laughter when sthg cracks him up. I've seen he writes personal messages to fansites dedicated to him, apparently he takes good care of his fans.
DBSK Song that reminds me of Yunho: O, Purple Line
Song I would like to dedicate to him: Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back ;-)

DBSK basic info

TVXQ, an acronym for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (東方神起), is a quintet South Korean boy band formed under SM Entertainment. TVXQ is one of the most popular groups in Asia. Its five members specialize in the areas of singing, dance, a cappella, acting, and pop with an R&B and hip-hop vibe. Since debut, the group gained a great popularity in South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and other East Asian countries.
TVXQ fans use various versions of the group's name in different countries. In South Korea, the group is known as Dong Bang Shin Gi (동방신기), abbreviated as DBSG or DBSK, while the Japanese equivalent of the group's name is Tōhōshinki, abbreviated as THSK. TVXQ, the acronym based on the Chinese counterpart of their name Tong Vfang Xien Qi, is the abbreviation officially used on all advertisements and products outside of Japan. How I got to know DBSK

A while ago I started watching Japanese dramas. I'd heard a lot about them and how funny and dramatic they were so I decided to start with Hana Kimi. I immediately noticed they were so not like our soaps (they sometimes last months and even years!!). I laughed a lot and became instantly addicted to them. I also got curious because of a Japanese singer and actor, Jun Matsumoto, and my second experience was with Gokusen which has a lot of drama in the plot. Following some links I found a site with all sorts of Asian dramas (Crunchyroll). I clicked on "Sassy girl Choon Hyang" and later on found out it was Korean. I laughed so much with Jae Hee, my tummy ached... Following hundreds of links I found some conversation about a Hero Jaejoong. I wondered who that was and decided to investigate, found info about him and DBSK on Wikipedia and next I started listening to their music and watching their videos on YouTube. I was (happily) shocked to discover that these cute Korean young boys had such a powerful and at the same time beautiful voice! And you know how the story goes... Just like many others I was instantly hooked on their music.
